'Toray' TM-90 Water Bath Blood Warmer
Transfusion and infusion of liquids at low temperature can bring about excessive decline in the metabolic funtions of citrate and lactate acids, and tolerance to change in potassium and calcium levels. Other effects would be hypothermia, vaso constriction and ventricular fibrillation, leading to cardiac arrest.
It is therefore vital to warm the liquid near to body temperature before delivery. The "TM-90" blood warmer is designed to rapidly impart an even controlled heat to the (disposable) blood warming coil and maintain infusion at a regulated body temperature. The "TM-90" features the unique warming block system and a double temperature control circuit for maximum safety.
The "TM-90" is a compact, high performance, water bath type of blood warmer, suitable for rapid infusion to counter massive haemorrage and surgical shock or even the gentle exchange of blood to a newborn baby.
